On Friday the question was asked here, as to whether or not the DAX might close the week below the 18k handle. Well, somehow it managed to avoid that, when it closed on Friday at 18,002, but with a loss of 263 points on the day. So, it was still not a good week for the German benchmark index by any measure. The price action on the session was capped inside its 50 day moving average (then at 18,343) and its 100 day moving average (then at 17,937). The range seen on Friday was covered by 17,951 and 18,267). All that said, the DAX futures are higher this morning and right now pricing an opening today at around 18,050. So, it remains to be seen, if the angst and risk aversion that badly dented the European markets last week will be replicated again this week
