Earlier today the DAX futures were pricing a potential opening later this morning at, or just above 20k. The DAX had closed on Thursday at 20,024, but failed to build on that on Friday. The DAX fell back from a high at 20,031 to a low at 19,868 and later closed for the week, at 19,906, with a loss of 118 points on the session. That loss was clearly driven by a standout move lower on the day in the CAC 40. The French index was far and away the worst performing major European index on Friday. There will be more to add on that later this morning. Meantime, the DAX futures have more recently fallen back ahead of the opening this morning. The outlook remains slightly skewed towards a higher opening for the time being though. The index is currently priced to reopen around 19,950
