As covered here later yesterday afternoon, the DAX made it 15 days in a row of higher daily closes yesterday. The futures were pricing the opening just above 23,400 then, but they are lower right now this morning. The earlier release of the Chinese, Caixin PMI data has stunted the gains across the Chinese markets today, because that came in lower than forecast. The Japanese markets are still closed for the final day of the Golden week holiday today. As noted the US futures are lower this morning, led by the Nasdaq 100 and all of this has helped to push the DAX futures lower this morning. That is not to say it will not shrug off all that surrounds it, because that is what the index has done for the past two weeks and more. At the same time, the index is called to open lower this morning. The DAX closed yesterday at 23,344. It is right now priced to open lower, currently at around 23,300
