DAX futures back off ahead of the opening

The German DAX has not been open for live trading this week since closing on December 23 at 19,848. Since then other global markets have of course been open for trade and that has seen some upside in the US markets. That helped the DAX futures to imply an opening above 20k. At one point that opening earlier today was priced above 20,025, but not right now. The DAX futures have fallen back this morning, despite those noted gains across Asia today. So, it remains to be seen, whether or not the DAX will rebound above that 20k level a little later this morning, when live trade resumes. The markets are likely to be sparsely populated today though, with many pro traders absent for the whole week. The DAX is right now priced to reopen at around 19,875
