DAX falls to fresh session lows as US futures extend falls

Since the penultimate update here not that long ago, the losses across all the US equity futures have deepened and now the S+P 500 is pricing an opening potentially below 5,900 and the Nasdaq100 is pushing towards 21,150. At the same time that selling pressure is weighing on the European markets and hence the DAX has just now fallen to a fresh session low as it dips just below the 19,800 handle for the first time today. The FTSE 100 is still battling to hang onto the 8,100 for the time being, but it remains to be seen if that will last. The DAX has just edged a little higher as I sign off here, but the outlook for the US opening continues to look decidedly negative right now. The DAX is currently trading at 19,810
