Yesterday the DAX opened lower, at 18,209. The low that followed saw it reach 18,096. The subsequent rebound into the close delivered a move to 18,326. The index later closed 88 points lower, at 18,298. The price action so far this morning is rather indeterminate ahead of the opening and so we have a rather uncertain start to the final session of the week in terms of direction. The US futures are in the green though, and the FTSE futures remain elevated overall, but the price action in the CAC 40 is the more likely driver right now, as indeed it was again yesterday. The CAC is right now tussling with whether or not it can reopen above 7,450 and that is drivelling a rather uncertain outlook from the DAX might resume. The DAX is just now pricing the opening at 18,275
