DAX eyeing an opening above 18,525 today

The DAX was the best performing major European stock market yesterday. The index closed 44 points higher, at 18,493, but it could have done better than that, because the index did trade as high as 18,551 yesterday. To be honest the latest German PMI data was very much at odds with that rise anyway, but what can be said about that? Irrespective of that, the DAX continues to press onwards and upwards it seems and the high seen yesterday took the index back closer to the record high seen earlier this summer, at 18,892, The fact that the final correction level at 18,452 has been surpassed and held onto again yesterday remains a positive, but as far as new records this year; that is a different matter. That said, demand for German stocks seem unabated at the moment and the index is set to reopen above 18,525 shortly.
