DAX edges higher in early trading
The DAX did reopen above 15,200 this morning, commencing live trade at 15,203. It did then back off to 15,178, but since then it has risen again and it is just now setting session highs above 15,210. The FTSE 100 is higher too as that index now lifts above its 21 day moving average (now in place at 7,476). The move higher in the European stock markets is not conclusive though and subject to a reversal at any point, if the latest geopolitical news warrants it. The risks of Middle East contagion are very much front and centre of that, whilst remaining benign for the time being. The US jobs report will be a factor later too. Meantime, the DAX is trying to push higher this morning
