DAX edges back from another record high in quiet trading ahead of US jobs report
As entirely expected earlier the DAX did open higher. The index set another record opening, 21,908 after setting a record close yesterday, at 21,902. The index reopened at 21,908 and immediately shot higher, setting a new all time high, at 21,945, but that was much earlier this morning. Since then it has been floundering somewhat and a short while ago it started to fall back towards the 21,900 mark. To be honest the vista out there is pretty quiet right now, amid a dearth of any significant fresh news. That seems to have sparked some profit-taking ahead of the US jobs report, now less than an hour away. The DAX is trading right now at 21,901
