DAX edges above 18,400 in the first hour of live trade

The DAX did reopen higher today. That outlook was noted here earlier before live trading resumed. The index closed on Friday at 18,301 and the futures had been pricing the opening very close ti 18,200 at one stage. However, it reopened today at 18,379 and has been pressing higher in the first hour of live trading this morning, reclaiming the 18,400 handle. The gains come as the Nikkei futures push higher and the whole global vista looks more positive now today. The index has reached highs around 18,415 this morning, but it remains to be seen, just how much more upside there is left in this one today.
