DAX early session gains are not conclusive
The DAX is pressing a little higher now this morning. The index reopened today at 16,618, from a close on Friday at 16,594. The DAX has just this minute lifted to above 16,630 and the move comes despite some disappointing German data released earlier. However, as usual that factory order data did not push the index lower, as is more often the case. The price action is by no means conclusive though and both the FTSE 100 and CAC 40 are struggling for traction at the same time. The US futures, especially the Dow Jones are still in the red as well. So, it remains to be seen, if the DAX can continue to defy all that is currently going on around it. The DAX is just now trading at 16,630
