DAX drops below 18,300 as US stock markets open and extend lower

The US stock markets have just reopened and it has not been a good start to the session. In fact, it has been more negative than priced in earlier. The Dow Jones has fallen to around 39,125 and the S+P 500 has dropped below 5,200. The Nasdaq 100 is also under the hammer in early trading and now not that much above the 18k level. Meantime, here in Europe the DAX is just this minute testing the 18,300 level which is some way below its earlier record high, at 18,567. The US data releases might have a further impact shortly, at 3pm GMT. The DAX has just now actually fallen to fresh session lows underneath 18,300
