DAX did not join in on Friday but will it do so today?

On Friday the recovery in the US stock markets defied the higher US bond yields and as already noted, all the US stock indexes closed higher ahead of the weekend. However, the European stock markets did not join in on that and all the major indexes here ended the week in the red. The worst performing index in percentage terms was the DAX, which closed 1.24% lower on the day. The DAX handed back 228 points, closing at 18,175. The FTSE 100 (-0.81%) and CAC 40 (-1.11%) both closed lower as well. The DAX future is not exactly making much progress this morning either. So, directionally things look a little uncertain for the opening shortly this morning. The index is right now priced to reopen at around 18,190
