DAX curbing its enthusiasm after reaching a new record at 20,675
Earlier this morning it was a record opening for the DAX. As already reported the index had set a new all time high above 20,600 yesterday and later closed at 20,574. The index reopened this morning at 20,665 and then set a new all time high, at 20,675. However, it has slipped back since ands traded back underneath the 20,600 handle. This could be technically after the index gap-opened higher this morning. So, of course that gap is now well and truly closed. The US futures are just off the boil too and it is clear; the DAX is just now curbing its opening enthusiasm. To be honest it is really hard to support this record anyway, but it is what it is folks. The DAX is right now trading at 20,590
