Close but no new record yet for Gold
A few moments ago Gold came very close to setting a new record high above $2,685.58. The high set just now was at $2,684.42 and it has backed away from that slightly now. Of course it may not be finished with an attempt to reach a new all time high today as the current high is only $1 shy of doing that. At the same time we should dismiss the possibility that a failure to push above $2,685.58 now could risk a major double top being set in place. Much could also depend on how the US stock markets fare shortly, when live trading resumes in around 20 minutes. Gold is currently trading at $2,681.60
