China comment sends dollar and stock futures lower- USD/JPY falls back
A couple of minutes ago the Chinese foreign ministry came out with a statement. That said they were not in any discussions with the US over trade tariffs and also cast doubt on earlier headlines suggesting that China was looking at reducing some tariffs on US goods. The immediate reaction has seen the dollar fall versus the Euro and the US stock futures have all fallen back. The USD/JPY is also understandably lower on this news. The USD/JPY was trading close 143.75 after of these comments. It has now fallen back below 143.30 afterwards
