Caterpillar results strangely lift Dow Jones futures
The Q2 results from Caterpillar have not long ago been released and they were better on EPS, but missed on revenue. Despite that the Dow Jones futures have risen from around 38,800, to above 39,000. To be honest with you there is no real reason for the Caterpillar results to have driven that move, because they were not actually that good. So, it could just be coincidence, that the Dow futures have risen and it seems like all the European and US markets were on the rebound anyway. The Nasdaq 100 futures have rebounded somewhat too and of course this is all likely to change again a few times before both indexes actually reopen. The Dow Jones is currently priced to reopen at around 39,050
