CAC reopens below support at 7,450 and tests 7,400

The European stock markets have just reopened and it has not been a positive start to the day, but that was not a surprise was it? The CAC 40 has opened below 7,450, but earlier it had seen a plunge in the futures ahead of the opening. That came from the disappointment stemming from the Q2 results from the French Oil giant, Total and fashion icon Kerring. That had seen the CAC 40 futures price an opening at below 7,400 at one point. So, now that live trading has resumed, the CAC is heading back to that 7,400 handle, as the DAX falls below 18,200 on the opening. The FTSE 100 has cracked that 8,105 level too, but more on that in a moment. The CAC 40 is actually now trading just below 7,400
