CAC 40 set to build on a positive close?

The CAC 40 will shortly reopen for business. Yesterday the French stock market index was by some margin the best performing major European index in percentage terms. The CAC closed 2.14% higher, compared to a rise of 1.09% for the FTSE 100 and 0.39% for the DAX. The reason for the significant outperformance in the CAC was all due to the new Prime Minister surviving the first of what are surely many no-confidence votes to come. The push above 7,500 in the CAC then extended above 7,600 for the first time since October last year. The index later replicated what was seen in the FTSE 100 and closed the session right on its best level of the day, at 7,634.74. The index is set to open higher shortly. So, will it add to the impressive gains seen yesterday by the close tonight? All to be revealed. The index is right now priced to reopen around 7,665
