CAC 40 opens higher as 7,500 comes back on the radar

Since basing out ahead of 7,300 back on September 6, the CAC 40 has been pressing higher, but so far it has struggled to vault the 7,500 level. The index failed to make progress yesterday, when it closed 15 points lower, at 7,449. However, the index has just this minute reopened higher and that higher opening has seen it come up close to the 7,500 level once more. The CAC is gaining traction due to the gains seen in the DAX and the FTSE 100 on the opening today. Beyond where it reaches this morning, the lag effect on this one is still clear to see. Perhaps above 7,510 it might extend some more, but it has not gotten there yet. The CAC 40 is just now trading at 7,495
