CAC 40 off the opening lows but for how long?
Well, the European stock markets did open lower and the brunt of the opening losses seemed to rest on the FTSE 100 and the CAC 40. Those were the worst of the 3 major indexes yesterday and extended the downside on the opening. The FTSE 100 fell below 8,250 and the CAC dropped towards 7,350. However, both have steadied somewhat in the first few minutes of live trading. The CAC is edging back towards 7,400 as the DAX holds above 20,300. To be honest that is a little surprising, given some of the losses seen in a few components there. However, it does remain to be seen, if that will be the case as the morning unfolds. The CAC was the worst performer yesterday and it is not out the woods yet today. The index is currently trading at 7,383
