CAC 40 modestly higher opening is not at all conclusive

As noted here earlier this morning, the CAC 40 closed lower on  Friday. The index ended the week, with a loss of 42 points on the day (-0.58%), at 7,269. The index has just now kicked off the new week and it has been a very modestly higher start to the session. The outlook for the week ahead does remain uncertain though and in terms of recent levels, the previous close on Thursday was set at 7,311. The high seen on Friday was set at 7,319. All the time the price action remains south of those levels, it remains to be seen, if this modestly higher opening will garner much traction. The CAC 40 is actually now lower, currently trading at 7,267
