CAC 40 leading the way for the European markets as the DAX heads towards a record close
In pure percentage terms, the CAC 40 is still the best performing major European index this afternoon, but of course it is not setting any records, despite trading around 2.25% better on the session. The index that is setting records though remains the German DAX. That is more than 300 points higher just now this afternoon, but it has been even higher. Earlier the DAX reached a new all time record high, at just above 19,250. It is off that high now, but as things currently stand more than likely to set a new record close later this afternoon. The DAX is just now trading at 19,235
