CAC 40 gives back all the gains and more as it reopens below 6,900 today

Yesterday the rebound in the CAC 40 saw it rise to 7,179.49. The index later closed at exactly 7,100 with a gain of 173 points on the day. That close was in sharp contrast to the lows seen over the last year and more earlier in the week, when it slumped to 6,763.76. Well, the index has just now reopened and it has kicked off the new session below 6,900 and close to 6,875 in very early trading. The falls in the CAC 40 come as the FTSE 100 and DAX also open sharply lower this morning. The CAC 40 is trying to bounce just now, but how far that manages to recover from here this morning is very, very uncertain. The index is right now at 6,915
