CAC 40 futures lower ahead of French CPI data due shortly

At 7.45pm we will see the latest French Consumer Price Inflation data covering the month of November. The flash reading is expected to rise slightly. The forecast on the flash reading is at 1.7%, up slightly from 1.6%. The final revision to French Q3 GDP is also due for release and expected to remain unchanged at 0.4%. Ahead of this the CAC 40 futures are lower this morning. The index closed yesterday at 7,179, with a gain of 36 points on the day. It was not the weakest of the three main indexes yesterday. That mantle belonged to the FTSE 100. This French data might decide if that opening outlook will be improved, or perhaps not. The index is just now priced to reopen at around 7,155
