CAC 40 futures get a lift from all that surrounds them

Yesterday and update here noted how the French stock market was still the laggard amongst its peers and definitely the sick man of mainstream Europe. That said, the index did manage to forge out a modest gain yesterday and rise by 25 points, closing at 7,275. The later extended gains on Wall Street last night have lifted the opening outlook for this morning. That has been helped by further gains in both the FTSE 100 and DAX futures. Some revised French inflation readings have just this minute hit the screens, but that seems unlikely to have much of an impact on the opening call for the CAC 40 this morning. That opening call is right now at around 7,325 and the reader is once again reminded of the important 7,433 level still guarding the topside higher up
