CAC 40 continues to lead as European stocks extend gains
The opening gains for the European stock markets have been extended i the first two hours of trading. The DAX is pressing above 18,300 now and even the FTSE 100 is moving higher, However, it is the CAC 40 that is leading the way. The index has now pushed above 7,625 and so more than 1% above where it closed last night. The gains here in Europe come as US futures press a little higher, ahead of of a slew of US economic releases this afternoon. As to how much more gas in the tank there is for the European stocks today is uncertain and at some point it would not surprise if a degree of profit-taking kicks in today
