Brent rebounds from below $85 in Asia today

Yesterday Brent for August delivery once again rejected a sustained move above $86 per barrel. That price level has been highlighted here for a while, as potential topping out level and so it was not exactly a surprise to see the price fall back from above that level once more. Brent later settled exactly $1 lower on the NYMEX exchange, at $85.01. The low seen after that settlement came ahead of the wider US market close, at $84.74. It has rebounded in Asian trading today though, rising to a high at $85.44, from an earlier low at $84.81. It is not far below that high just now. The reader is also reminded; that the August contract will expire tomorrow
