The ARAMCO boss has been talking at a conference this morning in Riyadh. He is rather unsurprisingly talking up the outlook for oil demand next year, by around 1.5 million barrels. Well, blow me that is hardly a shocker and of course he has a 100% vested interest to talk his book. So, yesterday oil prices fell back and that saw the price of Brent crude for February delivery drop close to $71.50 as the wider European markets drew to a close. It later lifted into the NYMEX settlement and closed on that exchange, almost entirely unchanged, at $71.83. Following these comments from the ARAMCO boss this morning, Brent has risen back above $72.50, as OPEC wait in the wings this Thursday. Brent is currently trading close to session highs, at $72.54
