Brent not ready to back off yet as it lifts to session highs right now

Oil prices remained at their highest levels of the week later on Friday. Naturally, given the geopolitical risks surrounding the Middle East, there was no way oil prices were going to entirely crumble into the weekend unless there was some massive fresh supply side news. Well, as you can imagine that did not materialise and Brent for December delivery settled $0.43 higher on the NYMEX exchange, at $78.05, but that was still some way south of the earlier session high, at $79.30, reached after the European close. The price is edging higher again just now, after hitting a session low earlier today, at $77.23. Brent for December delivery is in fact, on session highs just now, trading at $78.32
