Brent jumps sharply above $77 on US news
The oil markets have just lurched higher across the board and the reason for that is a breaking news headline from the US; stating they are discussing with Israel about the potential striking of Iranian oil facilities. That news is not confirmed, but it has come from a major News wire service (Bloomberg) the move higher in Brent saw it lurch to around $77.60 in the December contract. It has just pared that rapid move right now though. Brent for December delivery is currently trading at $76.76, but still markedly higher on the day
