Brent Crude trades above $95 for the first time this year

Yesterday oil prices continued to make progress. That progress saw the price of November Brent crude come very close to rising above $95 per barrel for the first time this year. In the event it stalled at $94.95 before later settling, $0.50 higher on the NYMEX, at $94.43. However, it has recovered the upside momentum today and a little earlier this morning that saw Brent push above $95, reaching a session high so far at $95.15. It is off that high right now, but not yet materially so. November Brent is just now trading at $94.95
