Brent crude rise pushes above $82.75 ahead of the NYMEX settlement

The earlier gains in the price of Brent crude have been maintained until well after the European close today. That is not to guarantee that it will not change, but the move back above $82 has now extended to just above $82.75. Brent crude for January delivery has just reached a session high so far at $82.80. The price remains bid, but still corrective above $82.30. The next resistance level of note could be at $84.21, should the move continue to extend, but at the same time this could so easily reverse lower again at any point, such is the level of uncertainty out there still. Brent for January delivery is currently trading at $82.63
