Brent crude rebounds from sharp OPEC+ induced slide towards $82

Earlier this afternoon oil prices dived and that saw the price of Brent crude hit a session low just above $82.10. That means it busted below the lows seen yesterday. The reason for the slide was due to comments emerging from the OPEC+ arena, where some producers were said to be fiercely debating the prospect of pumping more supply next year. Such a prospect is far from a live prospect, but the thought of it actually being discussed was enough to send prices in a spin. That said, Brent has now rebounded, but it is has as yet not managed reclaim levels back above $83. Brent for July delivery is currently trading at $82.67
