As I write this update on the price action in Brent crude, the May contract is falling to fresh session lows, as it approaches the $82 per barrel handle for the first time this week. The lack of lasting traction since the recent OPEC+ output decision is clear to see, as indeed it was yesterday. So, right now it seems the immediate risks remain to the downside, as was noted here yesterday and earlier today. That said, we should never underestimate this potential for this to deliver a sudden spike, albeit that would most like be news dependent right now. Brent for May delivery has just now hit a session low at $82.10
