Brent crude lifts back above $85 as Mid East concerns resurface
The price of Brent crude for September delivery is close to session highs just now. Yesterday it managed to settle ever so slightly higher on the NYMEX exchange after slipping back to a low around $84.25 as the wider US markets reopened. Brent settled $0.03 higher, at $85.11. Earlier today the price dipped just below $84.50, but since then it has been rebounding pretty steeply and just now touched $85.25 and the main reason for that would seem to rest with fresh concerns over the situation in the Middle East after a drone attack on Tel Aviv was said to come from an Iranian made device sent from Yemen. Brent for September delivery is currently trading at $85.23
