Brent crude falls below $85 per barrel following reports of Gaza hostage deal progress
Earlier today an update here this morning noted how Brent crude was surely headed to below $85 per barrel. Well, is has now dropped to just below $84.75 and the catalyst for the further falls was headlines released a few moments ago citing progress being made in the talks from Cairo on a potential Gaza hostage deal. To be honest though, Brent was probably going to take out $85 anyway, as it had come close to that level earlier. It just needed a catalyst to cement the move and this was news did the trick. Brent for September delivery is currently trading at $84.75
