Bitcoin takes out weekend highs and extends towards 71k
Looking across to the crypto space right now, we see that BTC has made a push to fresh highs now this morning. The lead coin has just now pushed above the weekend highs it set on Sunday, when it topped out at 70,291. The move higher comes after the lead coin had found a base on Friday at 66k. The noted looming BTC having event is now just 11 days distant and that prospect is once again driving the price higher. Perhaps the gains in Gold to fresh records earlier today has provided another excuse for digital gold bugs to push this higher in connection to those record gains. Bitcoin has just now risen to above 70,800, currently trading at 70,730
