Bitcoin takes a hit below 64k in afternoon trade as stocks turn lower
Earlier today Bitcoin was trying to rebound and that rebound took it close to the 67k handle. However, a rejection of that level then sent it back to hover just above 66k for quite a while. Well, since the US stock markets handed back a good deal of their opening gains, the lead cryptocurrency has taken a fresh hit. That has seen it drop to below 64k a short while ago. The low seen was set around 63,850. It is off that low just now, but not materially so and it seems BTC will be keeping a very close eye on the US stock markets again, potentially all the way into the close this evening. Bitcoin is currently trading at 64,370
