Bitcoin still sideways after sliding into the weekend
On Friday evening Bitcoin suffered another relapse. The lead cryptocurrency fell sharply into the wider US market close, shedding almost $2000 in late evening trading. BTC fell from around 43,500, to a low at 41,469. It did rebound above 43k into the weekend but it was not able to make much further progress above that level on Saturday and Sunday. Earlier today it fell back again and dropped to a session low at 41,693. It has rebounded since, but so far it has not reclaimed levels above 43k. The slide from the high at 49,021 last Thursday has now delivered a more than 15% fall from that 2023/24 highs. Immediate resistance is in place it seems at 43,334. First support is at 40,968 and after that at 39,815. The range seen so far today has been covered by 41,693 to 42,804. Bitcoin is currently trading at 42,629
