Bitcoin still marching on
Yesterday Bitcoin rose to its highest level of the year so far. The lead cryptocurrency advanced to 57,593 ahead of the wider US market close. It did fall back into the start of the Asian session today, to a low at 56,675. However, it has rebounded back above 57k ahead of the European opening. The high seen on this rebound has been set at 57,306. There seems little indication that this is finished with the topside yet and it is worth pointing out, that so far the prior resistance level at 56,364 has basically capped any downside moves since the 4pm London FX fix yesterday. Bitcoin is currently trading at 57,180
