Bitcoin smashed into the Asian opening

Yesterday evening Bitcoin was already slipping back from a new record high seen earlier in the day, when it slumped into the Asian opening. The failure earlier in the day to surpass the record high, at 103,840 had seen it drop back below 100k after the European close. The move lower gathered pace once it fell below 98k and that led to a vertical drop just as the wider US markets drew to a close and the Asian markets took over. That is often referred to as the Twilight zone and liquidity is often never good at that time. Well, it sure was not last night, as BTC crumbled to a low at 92,142. That was an almost 12% fall from the high seen earlier on Thursday. It has rebounded this morning though, but the question is; how much damage has that slide inflicted in terms of confidence? The rebound high since the low has been set at 98,830. BTC is currently trading at 98,025
