Bitcoin rises closer towards records levels

Since the last update here noted that Bitcoin was rising close to 71k, the lead cryptocurrency extended that move to above 72k. The high seen so far today has been set 72,597. That means it is clearly within striking distance of setting a new all time high. That all time high remains in place for the time being at 73,797 and was set on March 14. The prospect of that being taken out at some point is of course live right now, but that is not to suggest it will be taken out. That remains to be seen. That noted BTC halving event is set for April 19 and so the price action is rising towards new sunlight uplands at the start of this week, as that event draws ever closer.
