Bitcoin falls back after stalling earlier just short of 42,500

Earlier this afternoon, Bitcoin attempted to rise above 42,500. However, as is so often the case, the lead coin stalled around that mid-point increment between two one thousand point levels. Now it has backed off and fallen below 41,500 as I type this update. That means it is tracking back, closer to the earlier Asian low, that saw it slump to a low at 40,521 much earlier today. The prospect of this second relapse taking that prior low out is not to be dismissed either. That remains to be seen of course, but the gains in the dollar this afternoon appear to be doing it few favours. The low set just now was at 41,377. Bitcoin is currently trading at 41,430
