Bitcoin extends gains above breakout level towards 63k
Last week Bitcoin set in place a clearly defined double top around 59,450. That capped the topside all week, but following the attempt on the life of Donald Trump on Saturday there was a rush back to BTC in weekend trading. That breakout above 59,500 on Sunday and the move has accelerated further today. Bitcoin has now lifted above 62k and close to 63k today. The jump above 59,500 also coincided with a more dynamic move back above its 200 day moving average (now in place at 59,225) and that seemed to add to the momentum. The high seen earlier today has just been set at 62,996 and it is very close to that high just now. The Asian low seen earlier was set at 60,054. Bitcoin is currently trading at 62,925
