Bitcoin backs off a bit this morning

Since reaching a new 2023 high yesterday at 44,490, Bitcoin has made no further progress. In fact, it is edging lower just now this morning, after failing to hold an earlier move to around 44k. The drop back so far is not rapid, but more gradual and it seems the lack of traction over the past 24 hours and a stalling in momentum has forced some interim profit-taking. Bitcoin is just now at session lows and the reader is reminded of the first potential downside support  from here on, at 42,238, should this current downswing extend.
