Yesterday it was another mixed close on Wall Street. Whilst the Dow Jones failed to set a higher close that was not the case for the Nasdaq 100. The index really outperformed yesterday, rising by 296 points, closing at 18,307. That was probably the biggest contrast on a daily closing basis between the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq all year. The main reason for this was all about gains in the big tech sector and most notably, a more than 4% rebound in NVIDIA and Apple. However, the likes of Amazon, Microsoft and Google all posted solid gains too. That close last night in the Nasdaq 100 jumped the index back towards its record high (18,464). The high seen ahead of the close last night was set at 18,337. The index futures are not much changed so far this morning and seemingly consolidating the gains seen yesterday
