AUD/USD reclaims 0.67 as US dollar slips

Back on July 11 the AUD/USD topped out at 0.6799. The subsequent slide to a low at 0.6350 came as the AUD/JPY melted into August 5. That AUD/JPY was largely responsible for the slide in the AUD/USD. However, since then the AUD/USD has been pushing higher and higher and today it has recovered the 0.67 handle. The Aussie had closed on Friday at 0.6669. The high seen so far today has been set at 0.6721 and it is not too far off that high just now. The AUD/USD has taken out another technical resistance level at 0.6693 today and so right now there is not much in the way of it reaching that July high again. The AUD/USD is currently trading at 0.6715
