AUD/USD pressing towards the top end of the channel
If you care to look at a daily chart of the AUD/USD you will see it is trading in an upward trending channel and close to the top end of that this morning. According to my chart that top end comes in at around 0.6810. The AUD/USD closed last night at 0.6763 and it has edged a little higher this morning. The high seen earlier was set at 0.6776. The close last night was its highest since July 20. The AUD/USD is gaining on the outlook for Australian interest rates to potentially supersede those of the US next year. As to whether that is what actually happens is a different matter, but that is the game in town at the moment. The AUD/USD is currently trading at 0.6767
