AUD/USD edges above 0.66
Since an earlier update here noted the push above its 200 day moving average (0.6584) in the AUD/USD, the price has now managed to vault the 0.66 handle, which is something it was unable to achieve during the Asian session. It is not exactly roaring above the level, but the backdrop of a more hawkish RBA, coupled with more widespread dollar weakness is helping the Aussie to eclipse any Chinese concerns that must be in play right now. The firmer NZD/USD is also a contributing factor behind the AUD/USD reaching a new session high a moment ago, at 0.6604
